Really Good Hotels in Somerset

Roman ruins, Georgian shops, a thriving cafe culture and nightlife. Bath is the best of the west of England. There are a good number of boutique hotels in Bath plus traditional hotels and some funky BandBs. We stayed in The Windsor town house on Great Pulteney Street recently and really liked the ambiance of the place. If you are looking for things to do, there is a seemingly endless list, but the current favourite combo is a visit to the ancient Roman Baths museum, followed by a few hours of papmering in the new and deeply luxurious Thermae Bath Spa. A few hours in the whirpools, steam rooms and fabulous rooftop infinity pool will leave you invigorated and relaxed, prepared to make the most of the excellent nightlife that has made modern Bath one of England's greatest cities to visit.
